The most common complaint about pool bean bags is that they get heavy. Here is why that happens, and the ten-second fix.
Water coming in is what lets the bag sit down into the pool and mould around you, instead of skidding across the surface like a lilo.
Pull it half onto the coping so the zipped end stays in the water, then open the zip. Gravity empties it while you hold it there.
On its end with the zip lowest, the last of the water runs straight out. An hour standing there and it dries right through, which is the thing that actually stops mould.
The zip runs along one short end, tucked under a fabric flap. There's no pull tab, because a dangling tab on a product that lives around a pool and around kids is a choking hazard. A paperclip, a key or a bent bit of wire opens it in a second. Most people keep one hanging by the pool.

Do I get beans with it?
No — you're buying the cover and inner liner. You'll need 100L bags of polystyrene bean fill: four for a soft, sink-in bag, five for a firmer one that holds its shape. Most people go with four. Shipping beans interstate costs more than the beans are worth, so we'd rather not charge you for it.
It takes on water and gets heavy. Is that a fault?
No, that's the design. The bag is meant to take water on — it's what lets it sit low and mould around you in the pool rather than skating across the top like a lilo. The catch is that if you lift it straight out while it's full, it's heavy. Drag it half onto the pool edge with the zip end lowest, open the zip, and it empties itself. Then lift.
There's no zip pull. How do I open it?
That's deliberate. A dangling pull tab on a product that lives around a pool and around kids is a choking hazard, so it's a child-safe closure with no tab. A paperclip, a key or a bent bit of wire opens it in a second. Most people keep a paperclip hanging by the pool for exactly this.
Will it fade?
Slower than most, but nothing outdoors in Australia lasts forever and we're not going to pretend otherwise. Intertek, an independent laboratory, tested the 2026 fabric to ISO 105-B02 and it came back above Grade 4. That's a full summer of direct sun without going chalky. A lot of what's sold here is Grade 3 or untested, and that visibly shifts within one season.
What if it goes mouldy?
Mould needs damp sitting somewhere it can't escape, so the answer is drying rather than chemistry. The cover unzips completely and the liner comes out, which is the whole reason it's built this way instead of as a sealed bag. Stand it on its edge for an hour after a swim so the water actually leaves, and you shouldn't have a problem.
When will my pre-order ship?
Our container is on the water now. Pre-orders are dispatched from early October, once the stock clears customs and reaches our Sydney warehouse. You'll get an email with tracking the moment yours ships, and if anything changes we'll tell you rather than leave you wondering.
What's the return policy?
